Boardwalk Boogie - Lavallette - Virtual

WELCOME TO THE INAUGURAL LAVALLETTE BOARDWALK BOOGIE! IT'S FREE - SO DO IT! 

EVENT DETAILS:

THIS IS A VIRTUAL RACE: You just have to run the Lavallette boardwalk, from Ortley Ave to 5th Ave, then back to Ortley Ave, between 3 July - 12 July. 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Register for the race. 
Download the RaceJoy app to your phone.
Run or walk the course. 
Once you've completed a 2.5-mile distance, RaceJoy will automatically report your time to the results page! Easy-peasy! 

Bibs: When your registration is complete, you will receive an on-screen confirmation. In that confirmation, the system will automatically assign you a bib number. REMEMBER THAT BIB NUMBER! You will need it when you log in to RaceJoy. 

Timing: Prior to your arrival, please download the RaceJoy app to your phone, set up your RaceJoy account, and select The Boardwalk Boogie as your race. You will need to have your phone during your run in order to be timed. When you are ready to begin, hit the Start button. At each mile mark, RaceJoy will audibly announce your time and pace. I've also set up a few "cheer points" for you along the way. When you complete your run, RaceJoy will automatically stop the clock and post your results. 

When To Run: Personally, I run on the boards at 6AM. There's plenty of room at that hour. Plus, if the sun is strong, you're done before it gets too high. My suggestion is get your run done by 10AM - to minimize the chance of incursion with a vacationing family. Please also run during daylight hours (ie; no running at night). 

Awards: There are none! This is just for fun... and it's free! Do you best and see where you land overall and in your age group. 

GPS Address: The starting line is the southern curb of Ortley Ave, Lavallette. 

Parking: There is public parking along Highway 35 and on Ortley Ave. However, that fills up quickly. To avoid crowds, plan on getting your run started no later than 9AM. 

Social Distancing: Respect it.
