There are significant changes to this year’s race! Please carefully read below.
The 22nd Annual Bradenton Runners Club Turkey Trot will be held in Bradenton again this year on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 28, 2019. A unique and widely attended family-oriented community event, this race has never charged a registration fee, instead we ask all participants to recognize the efforts of selected local charities and help offset event costs through making donations via our registration page or race day (cash or canned goods).
As we did last year, we are offering the option to purchase a special edition Turkey Trot race shirt, including our turkeys amid runners logo. Please note that the shirts are an additional charge (shirts not picked up race day will be resold after the race and will not be shipped).
This race has been moved to Robinson Preserve, 1704 99th St NW, Bradenton, FL 34209 and is a 3 mile run on the shell loop. Moving the race to Robinson Preserve allows for more parking since we are able to use both the original Robinson Preserve parking lot and the new larger parking lot at the Robinson Preserve Expansion which is only a half mile walk to the starting line. There will be one water stop on the 3 mile loop.
Race number pickup at the pre-registration tables starts at 6:45 a.m. on race day. Race Day Registration closes at 7:45 a.m. Starting Gun is at 8:00 a.m. The overall top five (5) male and female runners will receive a delicious pie for their Thanksgiving celebration. There are no other awards and no results.
Limited race day registration will also be available if space is available. Parking is limited in the area near the start, so please allow extra time as the later you arrive, the further away from the start/finish you will have to park.
