Join us for our 6th Annual Cancer Hope Foundation 5K/10K! We welcome all runners and walkers to participate in this fast & flat beachfront race along the Ventura Promenade.
Register before January 11th, 2017 to receive an awesome race t-shirt & goody bag. All participants will also receive an opportunity drawing ticket to be entered to win some great giveaways!
First 300 participants will receive a finishers medal.
**Please note: We WILL have race day registration from 7:00am-8:00am on January 14th, 2016.
We cannot guarantee shirts & goody bags for participants that register on race day so we highly encourage you to pre-register by 01/11/2017 to save money & ensure that you receive these items!**
Awards will be given to the Top 3 Males/Females from each 10-year age category for the 5K and 10K.
Chip timing will be provided by Josh Spiker for the 5K and 10K.
Our post race party will offer fun for the whole family! Some of the highlights include: delicious food/snacks to refuel after the race, music from Jim Christenson at Magic Moments Entertainment, face painting provided by Creative Works by Camille, balloon art from Cathy Olson, vendors, and more!

We would love for the team spirit to continue this year, and to honor the legacy of those that we know that have been affected by cancer.
There is no extra cost to start a team! Simply choose a team name, and be sure that all your team members reference that team name while registering!
We will be offering two great team contests this year!
1) Team Spirit Award: We will be awarding the team with the most team spirit with a special prize. Some fun ways to show your team spirit are: Create a Team Shirt in Honor/Memory of those you are running or walking for, Pick a Team Color or Theme to wear to show team unity, and/or Create a Team Banner to Honor/Remember those that you run/walk for. The possibilities are endless, and we welcome your creativity!
2) Most Participants on a Team Award: We will be awarding the team with the most participants with a special prize. Recruit as many friends, family members, co-workers, neighbors, etc. to build your team!
*We will also have prizes for our Top 3 Fundraisers! Please join us this year in helping raise much needed funds for Cancer Hope Foundation. All donations are tax-deductible.

We recommend that runners park in the Free City of Ventura parking lot on Santa Clara St between California St and Chestnut. You will then walk straight down California St towards the ocean. The Start/Finish location is on the Promenade between Aloha Steakhouse and Crowne Plaza.
There is also paid parking directly off Harbor Blvd. just East of Crowne Plaza as well as under the pier. If you eat at one of the Promenade restaurants (Aloha Steakhouse. C-Street Cafe, Eric Ericssons) after the race you can get parking validated for free. Otherwise they charge $2/hour or $8/day per vehicle at the time of exit.

The mission of Cancer Hope Foundation is to enhance the lives of people affected by cancer. Our energies are currently concentrated on Camp Keepsake, a program which offers a cost-free camp retreat for adult cancer patients/survivors, their children and friends. Camp Keepsake provides support in an energetic and fun atmosphere.
