Captain Ronald Zinn Memorial Races

Events held @ Wall Twp. Recreation Complex, off of Allaire Road in Wall Twp, New Jersey. Organized by The Shore Athletic Club and Sponsored by New Jersey Natural Gas Co. Event “Honors our great 1964 Olympian Ronald Zinn, ” (Killed in action in 1965)  and all our Vietnam Veterans.

Historical RACE: The 1st and "OLDEST" Vietnam Veteran's race  in the USA!!!! (50 years) Oldest 5k race in NJ road racing History.

The Zinn 5K run is a fast accurate "new" course that is relatively flat with few undulating inclines.

The "Elliot Denman" Walk and RaceWalk will start @ 10:32 (2 min after the Zinn 5k)

**New This year will be a 10k Time Trial to be run as a workout or hard run. Only top 5  runners get awards. **

10K Walk is open to “all” walkers and RaceWalkers, Health/Fitness walkers cordially welcomed. 

2015 Entrants can REGISTER up to June 30th, 2015 for only $20,  afterwards the price goes up to Regular amt.

Pre –Entry Fee- $23 by Fri. -Mon. 4/8/16 - $ 26 by Wed. 4/13  -  Friday @ CJ's - $ 28   - Race Day Fee - $32 

Zinn Memorial T-Shirts Guaranteed to Pre-registered (race day as supply lasts). Random drawings,   Refreshments (also, Dave's “Famous Vegan Chili"  and New this year, "Beef Chili", the real stuff )

Awards : Trophies to top 3 Men and Women in each race. Top 5 Vietnam Veterans. Awards to 14 & < , 15- 18,   19- 34, 35-39,40-44, 45-49,50-54-55-59,60-64-65-69,70-74-75-79,80+                                               Fast Paved Accurate course relatively flat with few undulations. (SPLITS @ EVERY 1/2 MILE, RACE WILL BE RUN LIKE A "TRACK RACE"  with even having the first 1/4 mile split.

Post Race Social: @ CJ’s in Spring Lake Heights (2407. rte 71. Just South of Allaire Rd), Show race # and get $2 Domestic Drafts. Lunch Specials for Runners ($5 Burgers/Wings) Come out and chat about training/racing w/coaches who will be available to answer your questions.

Directions: Garden State Parkway to exit 98, then east on Rte. 195
Take right on New Bedford road @ Bank Building.
Take right @ 2nd light to 2700 Allaire Road to Municipal Complex. (Next to Soccer Fields)
