Carlisle Downtown Mile

For the 7th consecutive year, the Employment Skills Center will host the Carlisle Downtown Mile to raise money for the center and its programs. Join us for a one-mile race/walk down High Street. Children, adults, and groups are encouraged to participate. There will be prizes and a post-race celebration. Race competitively or walk/run just for fun!     Registration Fees: (online registration closes at noon on 5/13/18)   DAY OF RACE Registration and packet pick-up will be offered beginning at 5:30 PM on May 17th, 2018.   - Adult: Early bird (online only) by 3/25/18 -$15, Regular by 5/13/18 - $20, Day of Race on 5/17/18 - $25 - Child:  Early bird (online only) by 3/25/18 -$10, Regular by 5/13/18 - $12, Day of Race on 5/17/18 - $15 - Team: Early bird (online only) by 3/25/18 -$115, Regular by 5/13/18 - $125, Day of Race on 5/17/18 - $150    Shirts are guaranteed to all participants who register by May 1st, 2018!     Race Day Schedule:   5:30-6:15 pm – Registration & Race Packet Pickup at Race Start 6:25 pm – Just for Fun Walk/Run (will not be timed) 6:40 pm – Children ages 10 & under; Male/Female ages 11-13 6:50 pm – Male/Female 14-19 7:00 pm – Male/Female 20-29 7:10 pm – Male/Female 30-39 & 40-49 7:20 pm – Male/Female 50-59 & 60+ *Although running together, each age group will be timed separately 7:30 pm – Team Challenge *Teams may consist of 3-5 runners with the top 3 times being scored 8:00 pm – Awards Presentation  

Team Challenge:

Each team must consist of 3-5 runners. To receive race shirts, teams must pre-register by May 1st, 2018 The total time of the fastest 3 runners on each team will be used to determine team placement. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given in overall Team Challenge. We have expanded our team challenge to make the Downtown Mile a great opportunity to have some friendly team competition with other organizations similar to yours. It is also a wonderful team building event due to the short distance of the race. Wear your organization t-shirts and let the community see you out there!   Within each Team Category (Healthcare, Non-Profit/Government, Protect & Serve, Business/Corporate, Education, and Friends & Family) a first place award will also be given.   ** Early pickup for race packets/bibs: Wednesday, May 16th, 2018 from 11am - 5:30pm at the Appalachian Running Company located at 290 E.
