Carolina For the Kids (formerly UNC Dance Marathon)

Carolina For The Kids Foundation's Kilometers For The Kids is an event for people of all ages: students, families, you name it! Again this year, we are offering a one-mile Fun Run, and a 5K!

Carolina For The Kids Foundation is the largest student-run, non-profit fundraising organization in North Carolina. We fund what medical insurance cannot cover for patients and their families at UNC Children's Hospital.

We stand by our mission statement:

"The mission of Carolina For The Kids Foundation is to overcome childhood illness by providing major support for the medical, surgical and emotional care of the patients and families served by UNC Children's."

We believe that our community can make a difference by helping remove the burdens associated with hospitalization, such as travel expenses, food and electricity for medical equipment. Since 1999, more than $4.7 million has been raised. Please visit our website to learn more about specific programs.

All Fun Run participants will receive a goodie bag and the top three runners in each category of the 5K will receive a prize! The 5K will start at 9am and the Fun Run will start at 9:15.

There will be pre and post-race activities, along with light refreshments at McCorkle Place, one of UNC’s historic quads right next to the Old Well! Please join us on September 25th, 9AM for a fun-filled and inspiring morning.

- Thursday: in the UNC Pit 10am-2pm and Rams Head Plaza from 5-7pm

- Friday: in the UNC Pit 10am-2pm and Fleet Feet in Carrboro 4-9pm
