Every child needs a hero but abused and neglected children need a SUPER hero. Dust off your capes, pull out your costumes and be a SUPER hero for kids!
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers exist to be an abused or neglected child’s SUPER hero. CASA volunteers are members of the community who are trained and supported to advocate in the best interests of children until they reside in a safe, permanent home.

EVENT TIMELINE: may change slightly to accommodate weather, etc.

9:00am   5K Late registration/packet pick-up

10:00am 5K Race Start

10:30am Kids Dash Late registration/packet pick-up

11:00am Kids Dash START

The course is an 5K Run/Walk and Kids Dash (approx. .5 mile). It is all flat, no big hills and is not timed. The entire course is throughout the perimeter of Fort Missoula Regional Park. The course is a loop and starts and finishes at the same spot at Bella Vista Pavilion (near the soccer fields). The 5K and kids dash are both un-timed and participants may walk, run or jog the course. No motor vehicles or bicycles.

This is a paved train but some parts are dirt trails. Due to the weather and part of the park’s trail being unfinished, the course will be routed on to Fort Missoula Road (outlined on course map). Race guard volunteers and cones will be present for safety purposes but please be responsible.

Jogging strollers and pets are allowed but must start at the back of the starting line. Please note this is a paved trail but some parts are dirt trail and not all strollers are meant for this type of terrain (use caution). **Pets must be leashed on course. Owner is responsible for pet’s behavior, clean up and for abiding by all Missoula City and County pet regulations.

The Kids Dash is for all ages and kids will be chasing an evil villain to put in the “jail”. ALL Kids Dash participants MUST be registered (with waiver signed by parent/guardian). Parent/guardian participation for children under 5.

There will be water stations on the course and at the start/finish line. The course will be marked and have race guard volunteers throughout the course.

Dress for the weather— The run is outdoors and Montana’s weather is unpredictable but we recognize Missoulians LOVE to run in all types of weather. Unless the weather is considered unsafe, the event will be held during the scheduled time. There will be a gas fireplace to warm up and shelter under the Bella Vista Pavilion.

Location & Parking:
All festivities and 5k/kids dash start/finish will be located at the Bella Vista Pavilion (near the soccer fields)
Designated parking lots are outlined on the course map.
Additional parking is available throughout Fort Missoula Regional Park, please use caution when parking in other areas.
