Casco Bay Hockey 5k

Please join us for the 2nd Annual Casco Bay Hockey 5k and Block Party!

 

Come out for a run on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 - Casco Bay Hockey Association will be hosting our Second annual 5k Walk/Run and Block Party at Casco Bay Arena in Falmouth. This event will be a kick-off to the hockey season, a great chance for hundreds of hockey families to connect with each other, friends and rink neighbors, and raise important funds for our beloved hockey organization.Casco Bay Hockey is a volunteer-run, community-based, non-profit organization that has been developing young hockey players in Southern Maine for over 40 years. We are committed to providing our players with a solid foundation that will facilitate growth into quality individuals. We strongly believe that team sports are a great way to build character, self-esteem, sportsmanship and leadership.

The race will start promptly at 9am at the Casco Bay Arena in Falmouth.  Parking will be at the arena and neighboring Family Ice Center. This will be a chip timed race on a fun (and fairly flat) course in Falmouth in the rink neighborhood.The race starts and ends at CBA where the neighborhood block party will be in full swing with lots of food, fun and prizes!

Online pre-registration is highly encouraged. The sign up fee for the race will be $25, however same-day race registration will be $30.  Race-day registration will be open up to 30 minutes prior to the event. We are excited to announce that the first 150 people to register will receive a race tech t-shirt! All those who preregister will receive a sponsor swag bag.  This is a family friendly event and all are ages and abilities are welcome to run. Kids wanting to run the race and be timed will need to be registered by a parent and will be charged the race fee.  There is also  a Kids Fun Run (12 and Under) that will NOT be timed.  The cost to register for the Fun Run is $10, However race day the registration fee will be $15

Packet pick up for those who have preregistered will be Wdnesday, September 26th from 5-7pm at Casco Bay Arena in Falmouth. If you are unable to attend pick up, your packet will be available the morning of the race until 8:30am.  We will not be accepting any new registrations or check ins after 8:30am. 

Post race will include a neighborhood block party with yummy food, fun prizes and activities for all ages - we hope you'll stick around.
