CCA Lions Pride Run

CENTRAL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY PRESENTS: 5th Annual CCA Lions Pride 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

LOCATION: Central Christian Academy - 2900 N. Rock Rd, Wichita, KS 67226

SCHEDULE: Sunday, September 29th, 2019
  2:00 PM - On-site Registration & Packet Pick Up
  3:00 PM  - 5K Run/Walk 
  4:00 PM - 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk 
 Awards Ceremony and BBQ following the 1 Mile Fun Run

REGISTRATION: Registration forms are available at the CCA school office or may be printed and dropped by with payment. You may also register online (A $3.00 processing fee will be applied to online registrations) by going to our CCA website – www.ccalions.org (News & Events).  Online Registration closes September 23rd at 11:59 pm. You can register the day of the race on-site beginning at 2:00PM AM (Cash or Check only).

Early Bird Registration – through September 15th.
5K - $25 1 Mile Fun Run - $15

5K Early Bird Family - through September 14th (family rate NOT available after September 15th!)                                                                                                     $75 for three or more family members

Registration after September 15th & on-site day of race, September 29th.
5K - $35; 1 Mile Fun Run - $25

Individuals registered PRIOR to September 15th will receive a CCA Lions Pride Race Shirt – please indicate size when you register. Registrants on or after September 14th are not guaranteed race shirts. On race day, shirt quantity/sizes will be limited – on a first come, first serve basis to registered runners.

PACKET PICK UP: Registrants may pick their packets up at CCA Thursday, September 26th from 3:30 pm - 4 pm or Friday, September 27th from 8:15 am - 8:45 am. Packets may also be picked up the day of the race, Sunday, September 29th. 

COURSE: The 5K & 1 Mile races will be run on sidewalk surface and street. The courses are open to runners and walkers alike. http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/1687846034 

Both races will be chip-timed for accurate personal timing provided by Timer Guys.

AWARDS: The top male and female 5K finisher will receive an Overall Winner Medallion. Medals for 5K runners will also be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age division:  Ages 10 & Under; 11-15; 16-20; 21-25; 26-30; 31-35; 36-40; 41-45; 46-50; 51-55; 56-59; 60 & Up. Every race participant will receive a CCA Lions Pride Race Ribbon.

CCA JR. CROSS COUNTRY AWARDS: Medals will be awarded.

SPECTATORS: Family and friends are welcome to cheer on the runners near the 5K finish line and the 1 Mile Fun Run!

OUR MISSION: Central Christian Academy is a K-9 Christian school serving over 350 families in the Wichita area. CCA is located at 2900 N. Rock Road, Wichita, KS.  More information about CCA can be found at www.ccalions.org . We are beginning our 38th year of partnering with the Christian home and local church to educate and equip students to reach their full academic, physical and spiritual potential in Jesus Christ. Proceeds from the CCA Lions Pride Races will help fund student academic enrichment.

WEATHER CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:  Safety of the participants is the top priority of the races and sponsoring organizations. In case of inclement weather, the event may be delayed up to one (1) hour from the original start time, changed to a non-timed and non-competitive event, or canceled, depending on the severity of conditions. Due to the costs of putting together an event of this magnitude, no refunds will be given. Refunds are not given for any race cancellations prior to race day.
