Celebrate! West Hartford Road Races

The most family-friendly fitness fun in the region! Held in conjunction with the Town's two-day outdoor festival, the Celebrate! West Hartford Road Races are geared for ages 3-103. The morning starts with a .5 mile Kids Fun Run around Blue Back Square with medals for all finishers. The USATF certified 5K race takes runners through the Webster Hill neighborhood and features a downhill finish. Known for great prizes, gift certificates worth $30, $25 and $20 are awarded to the first, second, and third place finishers in 10 age categories. $100 gift certificates go to the overall first place male and female finishers as well as to the first place male and female from West Hartford. The first place male, female and over 65 finishers also get trophies. All 5K participants can enter a drawing for other great prizes as well. Whole Foods Market provides a delicious post-race refueling reception in the festival dining tent. FREE race-day parking is available in Isham Garage, 17 Isham Road., WH. Proceeds from this event support the Town's Leisure Services Scholarship Fund which helps qualified families send children to camp and other life-enhancing activities.
