Cereal City Classic

About This Event

Kick-off the Cereal City Stampede with the Kellogg Cereal City Classic.  The Classic is an annual event that is proudly sponsored by several community businesses and hosted by the Battle Creek Family YMCA.  Whether you have the skills of an avid runner or you're a recreational walker you'll enjoy this morning event that will highlight an all new course encompassing downtown Battle Creek and the WORLD'S LONGEST BREAKFAST TABLE.

Check-In
Participants can pick up their race packets and/or register for all races on Friday, June 9, 5:00-6:30 pm in the Battle Creek Family YMCA, Multi-Sport's Complex. 

Saturday, June 10, 6:30-8:00am at the Battle Creek Family YMCA, Multi Sports Complex.

Race Times
All races (5K Run/Walk, and10K Run) begin at 8:30am.

Parking/Facilities
The race site is easily accessible at the Battle Creek Family YMCA, located at 182 Capital Avenue NE, Battle Creek, MI. Lockeroom and showers are available. (Bring your own lock and towel) Traveling from I-94 take M-66 north (Division St), thru 4 traffic signals, turn right at Cherry St.

Awards
Overall winners of the 5K Run and 10K Run will receive a specially handcrafted “Empty Bowl Award”. These bowls are made by local artists, and are sold to benefit the Food Bank of South Central Michigan. Age bracket winners will receive a Cereal City Classic award (5K Fun Walkers are not eligible for awards). Awards will be presented in the Multi-Sports Complex of the Battle Creek Family YMCA at 10:00 am.

T-Shirts

Shirt with logo. T-Shirts are only guaranteed for registrations up to June 1st.  Late registrants receive a T-Shirt while supplies last.

Timing & Scoring
Timing will be provided by Mac's Sports Timing using the Chronotrack (D-Tag) timing system. Results will be available on-site or online at www.macssportstiming.com

Cereal City Stampede 5K Series
Participate in the "Triple Crown" events and receive a special Stampede incentive.  Top performers, by gender will receive overall winner awards. The events in the Cereal City Stampede 5K Series are Kellogg's Cereal City Classic, Binder Park Cheetah Chase, and RoadHawg . If participants compete all Three events, they'll be eligible to receive incentive at the RoadHawg Classic.
