Course Info: Don’t be fooled by the relatively short distance of this race. This great 5 Miler manages to pack in all forms of trail running to test even the most seasoned trail junkies. On the single track course (map) you will encounter rocks, gnarly roots, rolling hills, stream crossings, a few climbs, and some speedy (scary) rocky downhill descents! Course marshals will be stationed throughout the race, in addition to the well-marked trail, to provide assistance and direction. A water stop will also be available, and you will pass there twice at Miles 1.5 and 4.
Race Day: Participants can park at Chimney Rock Park parking lot off Chimney Rock Road, with the registration area at the end of the lot near the park bathrooms. Be sure to check in and collect your bib, start/finish area, which is a short walk down the paved pathway toward the playground.
*The pre-race briefing will occur via E-Mail this year. A short race announcement will be held prior to the race start**
