About the event
Tower running is a sport that involves running up the internal staircases of tall buildings. There are no scenic vistas and no cheering crowds; races are in enclosed concrete stairwells, but it is a supreme test of the competitors’ overall fitness.
More than 200 races held worldwide are evaluated each year for the Tower Running World Cup, by the Tower-running World Association (TWA), The CII Yi Goa Tower Run is one of those races.
The "CII Yi Goa Tower Run - 2017" will be held along five seven-storied buildings (a total of 840 steps) at Panaji’s business hub, Patto Plaza, on Sunday, 22nd January 2017.
The objective is to promote health and fitness in the corporate world. Anyone can participate. No skills or specialized training is required, except a reasonable amount of fitness. Individuals as well as corporate teams of four can compete. It is ideal for team building and will create a sense of loyalty and pride in the organization. Corporates may enter one or more teams of five participants each. Citizens can also enter as teams of five or as individuals. volunteers will ensure that the race is run fairly and well.
The event is supported by the Tower running World Association (TWA), which is very excited at the prospect of the fourth edition of the Tower Run in India.
