Join us for the 15th Annual Coach E 5K !  

Schedule of Events

6:45-7:25 AM Registration will be at the southwest corner of the school, outside the new elementary addition, at Brunswick School (1008 County Road) 

7:25 AM  Begin line-up for race start

7:30 AM  Race Begins

Entry Fees & Registration Deadlines 

Early Bird $20.00 if register by September 30, 2022 (includes t-shirt).  Race Day registration fee is $25.00 (includes t-shirt) 

Sweatshirts & Hoodies Also Available (registration must be received by September 20, 2022)

T-shirts cannot be guaranteed on race day if pre-registration is not received by September 20, 2022 

Parking and Building Entry 

Participants must park in the north parking lot of Brunswick School (follow signs).  

Course 

Starts on south side of the elementary school by the playground entrance.  Start line will be marked. The course goes through downtown Brunswick to the designated halfway point, circles back and finishes at the Brunswick School.  Course is primarily flat and paved.

1st Place Overall Male & Female 

1st Place Male & Female each age group 9 & under, 10-14, 15-18, 19-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-64, 65 & over

About
This wonderful event occurs each year to help preserve memories and educate others about the dedication, sacrifice and love of a very special person that touched the lives of so many before his passing in 2006.  Jim Edmundson, also known as “Coach E” dedicated 32 years of his life in the Brunswick School District molding and grooming the students and athletes of BHS for their future as well as doing his part to help improve the Brunswick Community.

Founded by Wayne Jones and Jim Brett in 2007, the Coach E Races take place each year during the Pecan Festival.  The occasion has grown to the point of drawing participants from Coast to Coast.

These events endure the legacy of a renowned soul and continue to show that Coach E, even in spirit, will always be a part of the school and community, and forever be held in the hearts that knew and loved him, and an influence on generations to come.
