"Conquer The Canyon" PA Grand Canyon 1/2 & Full Marathon + 5k

5k & 1Mile will start @ the High School and will traverse the streets through Wellsboro finishing on the HS track!

The half and full courses will be run on State Park roads through Colton Point State Park. The first 2.4 miles will be a gradual climb with spots that level off. However, after that it's minimal elevation changes and a nice downhill finish! This course will feature AMAZING views of the Canyon and will be one of the MOST scenic & unique events you will run!

The marathon will be a BOSTON Qualifier!

Bib Pickup & Registration:

Registration will be open the morning of each race during the pick up times listed below – (unless sold out. There are caps on all the races, so don’t hesitate to sign up and secure your spot). See below for times/locations.

You may pick up your bib on race morning right near the Start/Finish line for all races.You may also pick up your bib before and during the 5k/1mile at Wellsboro High School on Saturday the 25th starting at 6:00AM & concluding at 9:30AM for all races.You may pick up your bib Saturday July 25th at a designated bib pickup (location/time is TBA). Parking:

5k - Parking will be at Wellsboro High School. Wellsboro High School is located at 225 Nicholas Street, Wellsboro, PA.

Parking for the 1/2 & Full on Saturday July 25th & Sunday July 26th will be from the Tioga County Fairgrounds located at 2258 Charleston Rd, Wellsboro, PA 16901. There will be NO onsite parking for the half & full. There will be TWO shuttle companies that will be transporting runners and spectators to and from the half and full start/finish lines. Shuttles will run continuously starting at 5am!

Aid Stations:

There will be one station for the 5k with water and Gatorade.

There will be aid stations w/first aid, water and Gatorade approx every two miles for the half & full.

There will be paramedics on course for the half & full.

There will also be age group awards for both male and female runners:

Unique Medal Symbolic for the PA Grand Canyon will be awarded to all participants for the ½, full and 5k. Also, we will have a special additional medal for those that participant in any of the Conquer the Canyon Challenges! That means, if you participate in any of the Conquer the Canyon Challenges, you will be awarded THREE MEDALS!

Time Limit:

7 hours for both the 1/2 & full.

Average Temperature:

Low is 58 F and high is 78 F. The unique location lends to temperatures that will be mild compared to most areas in the summer.

Finish Line:

There will be a live DJ/Entertainer at the start/finish area throughout the half and full.

Pasta Party: TBA Charities:

We will be working with some local organizations including: Second Chance Animal Sanctuary and Wellsboro High School.

The combination of beauty, forests, stores and rich history of this area make this a sure-fire destination race for a summer weekend getaway!

PA Wilds Series:  Four Destination Races all located in the PA Wilds!!  Races will  Consist of  the "Great Allegheny" Ohiopyle April 18th, 19th, Run for the Elk August 8th, 9th, Conquer the Canyon July 25th & 26th  plus a fall event on October 25th and 26th 2020 (registration coming soon*)   Participants that run ALL 4 will receive a SPECIAL Medal at the end of the year!!
