This 50 Mile Endurance race is not for the faint of heart as this event takes place in the deep south during the peak of the summer when average temperature reach the upper 90’s on a cool day. The extreme humidity of the Lowcountry is what catches most people off guard pushing the Heat Index well over 115 degrees. This race is a 100% road course which is very flat (except for the bridge) and VERY exposed. The course was choosen based on the limited amount of shade that can be found along the course.
