Crime Victims’ Rights Week is a observed nationwide across many communities. The week long initiative promotes victims’ rights and honors crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf. The Delaware Victims’ Rights Task Force is a task force comprised of state and local government officials, victim advocates, and nonprofit agencies that work directly with crime victims and survivors. The DVRTF goals are to improve and expand services to victims of crime, increase public awareness of victim rights and services, and to ensure equitable treatment of victims, survivors, and witness by the criminal justice system.
