Tragedy Meets Cruisin’
The death of a local hero inspires “7th Annual Douglas R. Partenheimer – Cruisin’ For A Cure…Because Breathing Matters – Car Show” with proceeds going to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. In conjunction with the car show, a 5K run/walk, silent auction, and corn hole tournament will be on the agenda for the day.
[Holland, IN] – On October 1, 2016 at Holland Memorial Park in Holland, IN, the Partenheimer family will hold a car show, 5K run/walk, silent auction, and corn hole tournament in memory of their father Douglas R. Partenheimer. The event will benefit the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (Chicago, IL), as the proceeds will go towards fighting back against the disease that took Doug’s life.
Pulmonary Fibrosis is a lung disorder characterized by progressive scarring – known as fibrosis – and deterioration of the lungs. This fibrosis slowly robs its victims of their ability to breathe. The mission of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is to help find a cure for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), advocate for the pulmonary fibrosis community both locally and in Washington, D.C., promote disease awareness, and provide a compassionate environment for patients and their families.
