Who will Cupcake for a Cause 5K run/walk benefit?

Cupcake for a Cause 5K/Run/walk 2019 will benefit Place of Hope. Place of Hope is a  state-licensed children’s organization offering services designed to end the cycles of abuse, neglect, homelessness and human trafficking. Place of Hope is the largest, most diverse, residential children’s organization in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. They aim  to help our children, youth and families find healing and restoration, which leads to success.
Place of Hope has served more than 11,000 lives since inception. They care for 340 children, youth and families on a daily basis who have experienced unimaginable hurt. If no one takes action, these generational cycles of abuse, neglect, poverty and human trafficking will continue.
In 2018, Place of Hope broke ground on the Marshall and Vera Lea Rinker Village which will be home to 64 youth who have turned 18 years of age and are no longer able to stay in foster homes. This complex will also serve homeless families and victims of human trafficking. The Gary Peters Family Transitional Housing Complex will be the first of the four buildings that comprise the Marshall and Vera Lea Rinker Village. This project will help to ease the financial burden of housing on the low-income population and will provide wraparound services to improve their current situations, giving them hope for brighter futures.
