2nd ANNUAL DADS, MALES, & MENTORS WALK FOR LIFE 5K VIRTUAL RUN/WALK

“IN THE WALK FOR LIFE EVERY STEP MATTERS”

UNITING FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES TO SUPPORT MEN’S HEALTH AND MENTAL WELLNESS.

The collaborative non-profit partnership of Dad Kronicles, Inc., Life Jackets, and World
Youth Foundation, Inc. are launching their second 5K Walk For Life. Our collective
vision is to have all fathers positively involved in the lives of their children and families
while encouraging the importance of health, nutrition, and mental wellness. We
encourage peer mentoring to support men’s mental health and provide the tools needed
for success. In the Walk for Life Every Step Matters and it's a Family Affair! Our coalition
remains purposeful and intentional in its efforts as all metrics prove involved fathers and
male mentors are powerful instruments for helping children reach their full potential. We
work year round with mentors and positive father figures to provide support, advice,
friendship, reinforcement and practical models for their life’s walk.

THE FAITH OF OUR CONVICTIONS

This annual event will bring athletes of all abilities together to support families across
our community on Father’s Day weekend. Participants are encouraged to register in
advance to receive branded t-shirts to wear and unite us via social media as we each
complete a backyard, community park, or neighborhood 5k! Registration is available up
to and on the day of the event, but the branded shirt order’s deadline is, Monday, June
14, 2021. Running enthusiasts and all supporters are invited to participate. We welcome your
organization or team to tether your fundraising efforts to our event. Families are invited
to honor the dads, males, and mentors making a difference in the Houston community
and in their lives with the gift of family participation in our event. You choose your
favorite venue for the 3.1 mile course that is perfect for your ability and pace, and
submit your time to be added to our Finisher’s Roster.

Supporters don’t have to live in the Houston area to participate in the Dad, Males, and
Mentor’s Walk for Life. Anyone, anywhere, can participate by registering for our event,
wearing your branded t-shirt, and completing 5k walk/run in their hometown. Don’t forget to share and post!!
