The Dan Cavanagh Memorial Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was started by the family of the late Dan Cavanagh. Dan was a beloved citizen of Chatsworth, IL from the time he was born. He was a lifetime member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Sons of the American Legion. Dan passed away from a rare disease, Multiple System Atrophy, on October 11th, 2015. Multiple System Atrophy, or MSA, is a degenerative neurologic condition that affects both men and women, usually starting in their 50's or 60's. MSA is considered a type of parkinsonism but with more widespread effects on the brain and body. All proceeds from The Inaugural Danny Cavanagh Memorial on July 8th, 2017, will benefit The MSA Coalition and the H.O.P.E. Church of Chatsworth (Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church).
