Danny J Petersen Honor Run

Please join us on June 4, 2016 for the Danny J. Petersen Honor 5K run/walk. Runners/ walkers of all ages are welcome to attend! Danny was born and lived in the Jackson County area most of his life. He was a Specialist Four in Company B, 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division in the United States Army. He was just 20 years old when he was mortally wounded in the Republic of Vietnam. Danny was the recipient of the United States military’s highest decoration- the Medal of Honor. A portion of US Highway 75 is named the "Danny J. Petersen Memorial Highway".
