Dawson’s Run is a memorial 5K that benefits TheTruth365.  Dawson Creager was a student at Geneva Elementary School when he was diagnosed with childhood cancer in 2010 at the age of 11.  Dawson’s treatment options were limited, as are all treatment options for children fighting cancer, and after a two and and a half year battle, Dawson died on April 4, 2013, at the age of 13.  Cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease for children ages 0-18.  It surpasses Asthma, Diabetes, Cystic Fibrosis, Congenital Anomalies, and AIDS combined.  The Federal Government spends billions on cancer research each year but less than 4% of that is spent on pediatric cancer research.  TheTruth365 is an organization that unites all childhood cancer foundations, advocates, research/treatment institutions, and families impacted by this disease to give the children a voice.  100% of monies raised for TheTruth365 go directly to pediatric cancer research.  For more information, visit www.TheTruth365.org.

Registration for this race is $25 per person and $10 for Seminole County Public School Students.  If you are registering a Seminole County Public School Student, you will be asked to check the box when you are in the sign up information and the price will be reduced to $10.
