De Colores Dash 5k Color Run

Join us Sept. 11th 2016 for a 5k Color Run/Walk **Proceeds to benefit local charities** Fun for all ages and all level of runners/walkers.

Kids 10 & under run FREE with a paid adult .

Whats this all about: It’s a paint you up and leave you feeling full of life with a bright new hope run/walk. The De Colores Dash will offer mulitple paint stations through out the course to brighten your run/walk. Come wearing your sprakling bright whites and leave showing off your masterpiece at the end. Why is this better than any other run? Other than the fact that you will be a human canvas just waiting to be painted. It’s strictly for FUN, well... and for charity. There will be no time clock to keep score and simply no pressure to hold you back. On our race day, everybody is a winner. The De Colores Dash is for all ages, young and older, as long as you can complete the course with your own two feet, you’re good. Run, walk, skip, dance we don’t mind how you complete it, just get out there and enjoy yourself and God’s green earth.

 Stroller friendly. But we do encourge a jogging stroller or all terrian wheels. Due to the nature of our course, (part trail part paved roads) we are unable to accommodate wagons, bikes, wheelchairs, scooters, etc on race day. 

No pets on race day! For the safety of our other participants and for your furry friend as well, we ask that all animals remain at home for race day.

 Race Day Tips We know, you’re concerned about the paint, right? Don’t be! The paint is a cornstarch/flour mixture made pretty with non-toxic color elements. It’s 100% safe, non-toxic and bio-degradable. Plus it’s made right here in the USA. *Want to protect your golden locks and highlights? Use a good dose of leave-in conditioner or try oiling your hair with coconut or olive oil on race day or just wear a hat or bandana.
*Geepers Creepers what about my Peepers? We suggest you bring your sunglasses or favorite swimming goggles if you so wish to protect those eyes.
*Although the paint will wash out of almost everything, you will not want to wear your most prized fashion items. Best to leave those at home on race day...so there’s no need to sport your brand new back to school shoes, just in case.
*Want to leave your masterpeice at the race? Dust off all loose paint before appling any water and wash your running attire separately in COLD water. Most of the loose paint will magically disappear like fairy dust.
*Want your shirt to remain as festive as it was the day you created it? Spray it down with vinegar and iron it before washing it.
