DECA 5K Run/Walk

This year’s 3rd Annual DECA 5K Run/Walk will be held October 5, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. at York Comprehensive High School in York, SC.  Proceeds from this event will go to the Alzheimer’s Association and assist DECA students with state and national competition expenses.  Participation cost is $20 if registered by September 25th to be guaranteed a t-shirt.  Late registration will occur everyday after September 25th until the morning of the event from 7:00am- 8:00 am.  Limited shirts available at the event but not guaranteed for those who register after September 25th.   

The race will start and finish at the football stadium home ticket booth of York Comprehensive High School in York, SC, with a route that includes local neighborhoods of York and Carolina Gardens Assisted Living Facility.  The residents of Carolina Gardens will greet you and cheer you on as you pass through their parking lot.  Carolina Gardens care for many residents diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia at their memory care facility and we want to honor them by making them a part of the 5K route.
