Come join us for the 14th Annual Derby High Five Road Race! The Derby Running Club is proud to host this event at the perfect time to get your legs tuned-up for the Spring Racing Season. Both the 1 Mile and the 5 K are USAT&F certified courses and are run along the scenic paths & bridges through Derby’s High Park. This primarily flat course encourages visual contact for competitors and spectators throughout the race.
There is a $150 bounty (for non-student athletes) on male and female records! The 1 mile course records are currently 4:36(M) & 5:11(F), set in 2018 by Daniel Yoder and 2011 by Amber McGown . The 5K course records are currently 15:25(M) and 17:34(F), set by Peter Chebii and Tonya Nero, both on a windy course in 2017.
The Timer Guys will be providing state-of-the-art chip-timing to provide accurate results. The Awards ceremony and refreshments will follow each race.
The One Mile Race will begin promptly at 8:00 AM and is open to Runners & Walkers of All Ages and Abilities.
