Do Something 5K

Enjoy 2 laps around the lake in Crystal Lake Park in Urbana, Illinois, home of the University of Illinois, in support of the church in Liberia, West Africa. The relatively flat course creates a good opportunity for a personal record, while allowing runners to improve their strategy by repeating the same course at the halfway point. This event is sponsored by the United Methodist Churches of the Iroquois River District in central Illinois in hopes of increasing awareness of the difficulties in Liberia while raising funds to support ministry there.

Tired of competing with runners nearly a decade younger than you? Not a problem for this event. Age brackets are in 5 year increments! Awards are given for the top 3 finishers in each bracket, as well as the overall top male and female finishers.

* Refreshments are provided both before and after the race.
* A water station is available on the course.
* Giveaway drawings begin at 8:45am
* Awards ceremony begins at 9:15am
