Dog Days of Summer 5k - Owosso

Second annual “Dog Days of Summer” 5k run/walk will be held the third Saturday in August. All proceeds from the run will go to the Bark Park of Owosso. Elite Pet Styling is hosting this event in honor of Becky Scherer. We have a great course set up for you and your dog to compete in. DJ Chewy will be providing music while dogs and their owners cross the finish line. This is a chip timed 5k race. T Shirts will be available for purchase the day of the race.  We will have grab bags for every registered runner and have medals given to top male and female runners in each age group:13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 64-69, 70+ Also dogs who place in the top with their owner get a medal too!!

Packet pick will be available Friday evening from 5pm to 8pm at Elite Pet Styling (111North Ball Street, Owosso) and Saturday 7:30am to 9:30am In front of Stretch at 120 Washington Street, Owosso. Bring your whole family out and enjoy all the dog festivities of the day! Other events taking place are swimsuit contest, Dog biscuit contest, and agility courses set up by local 4h clubs! Our Owosso Farmers Market is also going to be open till 4:00pm that day!
