Duryea at Dusk 5k

Location: Duryea, PA 18642

Place: Community Park, Stephenson Street

Type of Event: 5k Run and 1mi Fun Walk

Date: June 3rd, 2017

Time: This 'Twilight' race begins at 7pm.  Walkers will begin immediately after the runners take off.

Price: $20 pre-registration, $25 day of registration.

Registration: Participants will be able to come at a scheduled time the evening of June 2nd, 2017 to pick up their shirts & bibs.

Course: Relatively flat with moderate hills.  There will be a water station on the course, as well as bottled water, Gatorade and fresh fruit at the finish line.  

Awards: Medals will be awarded to age group winners in each of the following age groups:

12 & Under 13-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60 & Over

*The awards ceremony will be held in the park 30 minutes following the completion of the race.

Additional Info: In addition to the run and walk, there is a festival being held inside Commnity Park from 5pm to 9pm.  This festival will feature food trucks, vendors, raffle baskets, games, music and more.  All proceeds raised at this event will benefit the Northeast Regional Cancer Institue in Scranton, PA.  The Northeast Regional Cancer Institue was organized in 1991 by Northeastern Pennsylvania hospitals and oncology practices that recognized the value of collaboration and coordination for community cancer control efforts.  The Northeast Regional Cancer Institue is a local, non-profi organization that is working to ease the burden of cancer in Northeastern Pennsylvania.  The three main program areas that they focus on are: community and patient services, hospital and practice support services, and cancer surveillance.

Duryea at Dusk is a non-profit, 501c(3) organization that is proud to work with the Borough of Duryea and local businesses in order to raise funds for this worthy cause.  Together, we can let the sun set on cancer.
