Erin's Run

Erin's Run is an annual 5K road race and walk in memory of Bangor native Erin Woolley.  The race raises money for the causes that were important to Erin, including Partners for Peace (formerly Spruce Run-Womancare Alliance), the University of Maine Swimming & Diving Program, the aquatics program at the Bangor YMCA, and a scholarship at Bangor High School.  Since its inception in 2013, Erin's Run has contributed $76,000 (100% of race proceeds) to these local non-profits.  

This year's event is taking place on SUNDAY, April 28th at 9:00 am.  The 5K race will start and end on the Bangor Waterfront as usual, but it is being held on Sunday for the first time and one hour earlier than usual! There will be a free Kids 1K run immediately prior to the 5K (the Kids Run will begin at approximately 8:45 am).  

ALSO NEW FOR THIS YEAR!  We are changing our route!  The race will begin and end on the Bangor Waterfront as usual, but instead of doing the usual double loop, this year's course will cross Main Street and travel up towards the James F. Doughty School.  It will then loop back to Buck Street, through the Cross Center parking lot, and back to the Waterfront.  It will be a single 5K loop. The free Kids 1K will still be held entirely on the Waterfront. (MAP AND ELEVATION PROFILE COMING SOON!)
