Expedition 12k Trail Race

Course Overview
The race will start and finish at the pavilion area located at the entrance to the Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park (follow the race signs). The majority of the race will be on single track trails that cover over 1,200 ft. of vertical gain. The trail system at Lewis and Clark Caverns are clear of snow and are of minimal technicality. Be prepared for climbing, wind, sharp turns, and beautiful views!

The race will start at 9:00 AM.
There is a cap of 200 runners. This race will sell out. Register early!

Cost
The race entry fee is $48. This includes a park fee and post-race lunch at the finish line. Every runner will receive a race shirt and top finishers will receive custom, hand-made unique awards.

There will be no rollover entries or race refunds. No exceptions.
Aid Stations
TWO aid stations will be along the course at approximately mile 2 and mile 4. Expect water, Gatorade, and Gels. Please plan your race fueling accordingly.

Swag & After Party
We hope you will join us for a post-race lunch and awards ceremony at the start/finish line area. For those who are interested in camping the night before or after, there are plenty of camp sites available the park.

Packet Pick-Up
Packet pick-up will take place at Bozeman Running Company (126 E. Main St.) on Saturday, April 14th from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. If you are unable to pick it up on Saturday, there will be race morning pick-up at the start/finish area from 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM. You may have a friend or family member pick up your packet for you. DUE TO PERMITTING, THERE WILL BE NO RACE-DAY REGISTRATION.

Drop Bags
There will be a small tent area for you to drop your bag if necessary.

Parking / Camping
If you are driving out the morning of the race, please remember to give yourself plenty of time to get to the start area. From Bozeman, the approximate driving time is 45-60 minutes. Please park in the parking lot of the pavilion. Carpooling is encouraged.

There are plenty of camping spots available at Lewis and Clark Caverns if you are interested in doing so.
