Fairfaxd USA Days Bridge the Community 5K

The Fairfax USA Days Bridge The Community 5K will take place on Saturday, June 24th at Fairfaix City Hall parking lot, 300 80th St, Fairfax, IA. The course is completely in town (no highway crossings) including the new trail and bridge. Check-in/registration: 7:00-7:45 AM, Instructions 7:50-7:55 AM, Race Start: 8:00. Be a part of this family-friendly race and celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Fairfax USA Days! The benefit of the race is Fairfax Lions Club whose mission is to support local projects, leader dog programs, and vision/hearing screening. Registration is $30 and includes a shirt. Prizes awarded by age category.

The race begins and ends at the Fairfax City Hall parking lot. The first 1/2 mile runs through Fairfax's newer developments up a long gentle hill towards the water tower and then down a long straight stretch of E. Cemetery Rd to the trail, across the trail bridge over Prairie Creek and a loop in old Fairfax before returning to City Hall via the trail bridge. There are no highway crossings and the route is well marked on low traffic streets and trails.
