The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation (FMJF) proudly presents the Fight 4 Fitness 5K Run/2K Walk, KIDS FUN RUN (1/2 mile run for children ages 12 & under) and Community Day at Sunset Park in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 19, 2015. The Fight 4 Fitness run/walk will be kicked off with the 5K-run/2K-walk and the KIDS FUN RUN. An awards ceremony to celebrate our participants for joining the “fight” will follow. The Community Day event immediately following the awards ceremony will include good food, great music, fun games, raffled prizes, and knowledgeable health and fitness exhibitors who will offer their services to enhance your fitness goals.
The mission of Fight 4 Fitness is to form community alliances where awareness and empowerment serve as the nucleus for an improved quality of life. From children to adults, everyone is welcome to join the “fight” in reversing health trends that are adversely affecting our quality of life. Fight 4 Fitness is a movement toward good health through the celebration of life, and embracing the possibilities of change that can enhance one’s own life and the lives of those around them. Interaction is the key to obtaining and/or maintaining a healthier lifestyle. Participating in the Fight 4 Fitness event can be the catalyst needed to create a vigorous, happy, and healthy Las Vegas community. This unique experience invites all members of the community to run/walk independently or with friends, family, and coworkers.
We are convinced that Fight 4 Fitness will be your starting line, and your finish line will be a lifestyle that incorporates consistent exercise, healthy eating habits, raised awareness of your own health, and an innate desire to inspire others to join the “fight!”
We are excited to partner with Clark County School District (CCSD) for our inaugural event! This partnership will bring health and fitness education and support of specific athletic program needs right to our community schools.
• We have reserved free registration to the first 100 CCSD students that register for any of the races.
• All CCSD students and faculty can register for the 5K run/2K walk for a discount until March 1st
• We will donate $3 from every event registration back to CCSD to divide amongst 10 designated CCSD schools that have requested support for athletic programs, physical education, and educational field trips.
