About the event
Join your friends and neighbors in Missouri’s longest running short run—the Firecracker Mile. With mile races for open, novice and runners age 14 and under, plus the PeeWee Dash and Junior Jog, this July 4 event, now in its 40th year, offers something for everyone.
Entry fee is $20 for the open and novices races and $10 for the Youth mile race and FREE for the PeeWee Dash or Junior Jog, but prices increase $5 June 20 so enter early. All entrants must register by June 20th to receive a t-shirt.
Medals will be given to top finishers in the Open and Novice mile races and to all finishers in the 14 and under Mile, the PeeWee Dash and the Junior Jog.
Family Team Competition: Get 3 or more family members (related by blood or marriage), each running in the appropriate one mile race. Three fastest times will be totaled for scoring. Team members are eligible for individual awards. Trophies to the top 3 family teams!
This year, the race will be help at Liberty Park in Sedalia MO.
