Flat Rock River Run

The Flat Rock Community Center and Simpson Middle School Swim Team are proud to host the 1st Annual Flat Rock River Run! Choose from either the 5k Run/Walk or 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk.  As part of the 2019 Flat Rock Riverfest, the River Run starts and finishes along the beautiful Huron River in and follows the Downriver Linked Greenway. 
 
Your participation in this event will directly benefit the Simpson Middle School swim team as 100% of registrations will go towards purchasing equipment necessary to host their first-ever home dual meets for the 2019-2020 season.
 
Location: Huroc Park (28800 Arsenal Road, Flat Rock, MI 48134)
Distances:  5k run/walk, plus a 1-mile fun run/walk.
Registration: Includes a t-shirt, official timing, and eligibility for awards.

Early bird: by July 22nd:                                                 $30 (5K),  $20 (1 mile)
Regular: July 23rd - August 31st:                                   $35 (5K),   $25 (1 mile)
Late (online only):  September 1st- 12th                        $40 (5K),   $30 (1 mile)
On Site at Riverfest (September 13-14):                         $45 (5K),   $35 (1 mile)

T-shirts guaranteed to all registered by Aug 31st, while supplies last afterwards.
All event registrations are 100% tax-deductible and non-refundable.
 
Event Schedule:
Friday, September 13:
- Packet-Pickup and Late Registration @ Riverfest 6:00-8:00 pm
Saturday, September 14: 
- Race Day Packet-Pickup and Late Registration   7:00-8:00am
- 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 8:00 am    (course closes at 8:25am)
- 5k Run/Walk starts at 8:30 am   (course closes at 9:30am)
- Awards at 9:45 am
      
Course: 100% paved within Huroc Park + along the Downriver Linked Greenways.
Awards: Overall Male/Female 5K and fastest age group finishers (depending on depth of age groups).
