All proceeds to support the Forest Lake Area Trail System.
This trail race starts at the Marina at Thousand Hills State Park and follow a paved road for about 1.5 miles. This lets racers spread out before turning onto almost 11 miles of well-groomed single track, much of it along the shores of Forest Lake. Racers will navigate twists and turns, ups and downs, rocks, roots, trees, and beautiful fall colors for approximately 11 miles. There are a few stream crossings, and inevitably there will be mud in spots. The last half mile follows a gravel road with the finish at West Winery at Jackson Stables (where free pizza and drinks await all runners). Prize money goes to the top three female and male finishers.
