Flirt With Dirt - Finlay

It's been two years... time to flirt again!

 

SOME TRAILS. FREE FOOD. FREE BEER.

 

Flirt With Dirt, Findlay's only trail race, makes its grand return on September 17, 2016. Couple of twists this time around. We moved the date from the summer heat to the colorful fall. What better time to run in the woods? Start time has also changed. No longer early morning, the race now begins in the afternoon. Why? So we can have food and beer afterwards. That's right - food and beer! 

 

Main Street Deli will be serving bread and two kinds of delicious soup. Wolfies is sponsoring three incredible beers made locally by the Hancock Homebrewers.

 

Everything else? Well, that stays the same. Flirt With Dirt is held at our beautiful Riverbend Recreation Area. The scenic route runs through the park on a variety of dirt, grass, and paved trails - sorry, we are just flirting here! Post race celebration will be inside Brugeman Lodge.

 

The top male and female finishers will both get FREE SHOES from our friends at Dave's Running Shop.

 

There will also be age group awards for males and females in the usual five year increments.

 

Proceeds are being raised towards Project Happy Feet, a Hancock Christian Clearing House community program.

 

Project Happy Feet gives kids living in Hancock County a voucher to buy shoes at Kohl's, Shoe Sensation, and The Shoe Department.

 

We're not just raising money to give kids shoes, we're allowing them to pick out their own shoes! How amazing is that?

 

Such a fantastic program and a perfect fit for our race - immensely proud to help Project Happy Feet out!
