The Footsteps for Families 5K and Fun Run is an event hosted by the LeFlore County Child Welfare team to raise awareness of child abuse & neglect in our county, to promote the need for foster homes in our area so that we can keep our LeFlore County children in our county, provide education about becoming a resource parent, and also to join together as a community to show support for our CHILDREN and families involved with Child Welfare services. The proceeds raised through this event will assist LeFlore County Child Welfare in providing Christmas gifts for the children, hosting a Christmas skating party, providing clothing, personal hygiene items, school supplies, diapers, formula, and any other needs that our county children may have.
