Forks in the Forest 5K Cross Country Run

The race is a fund-raising event for the Chenango Forks Dollars for Scholars and all proceeds will be used to provide scholarships for students that reside in the Chenango Forks School District. Last year the Dollars for Scholars provided 32 students with grants of nearly $15,500.

The Race: The Forks in the Forest 5K is a cross country race contested at beautiful Chenango Valley State Park. The event is in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation-Central Region.

This  race is predominantly flat and runs on either trails, grass and paved or gravel service roads. The course has been wheel measured and GPS confirmed and will be run rain or shine.  The walk course is a flat 2.0 mile course.

When: Sunday, April 28, 2019.  Race starts at 2:00 PM   

Where: Registration and race start is located at the Pine Plains Pavilion at Chenango Valley State Park.  There will be NO FEE to enter the park.

Registration increases to $20.00 after April 24th. Online registration ends on April 27th at 12:00 PM.   Race day registration  at Pines Plains from  12:00PM to 1:45PM.

Prizes: $50.00 Prize to Top Overall Male and Female Runner.  There will be prizes for the Top Male and Female in four age categories.  ( 19 and under, 20-34 years of age, 35-49 years of age and over 50 years old) .
