Freedom Run 5K - Collierville

Hi, my name is Ben Emerson and I am a Life Scout in Troop 211 of the Boy Scouts of America in Collierville, TN.  For my Eagle Scout project, I would like to honor our veterans by sending three of them on a special trip to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii during 2018.  I would like to send one veteran from World War II, one veteran from the Korean Conflict and one veteran from the Vietnam War on this special trip.  The trip is sponsored by Forever Young Senior Veterans of Collierville, TN.

In support of my project, I am sponsoring a fun 5K race/walk on the boardwalk and dirt trails of Collierville’s WC Johnson Park, on March 24, 2018 at 7:30 a.m.  Please bring the whole family and join us for a fun race with patriotic music and speakers.  Some of our wonderful veterans will also attend.  This is a great way to show all of our veterans how much we appreciate their sacrifices on behalf of our country.

Pre-registration is $20 per person until March 11th and $25 per person after.  All participants will receive a T-shirt and refreshments.  There will be awards for all age categories.  Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. on March 24th.
