Fresno's Annual Turkey Trot benefitting Fresno's Hungry with Thanksgiving Baskets, and local Cross Country Teams.

What a great way to start your Thanksgiving!  Run or walk the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning and then eat your Thanksgiving feast guilt free.  Socks featuring the new SCE logo for 1st 2000 entries. The 5K is chip-timed with plaques to overall male and female winners and unique medals for those who place in age groups. The walk is untimed.

This family tradition is presented by Sierra Challenge Express Running Club. Be sure to join us for costume and largest family contests at 7:30. Marie Callendar prizes for the winners.

Reminder that due to the cross-country terrain, the safety of participants, and race liabilities, absolutely NO strollers or dogs are allowed on the 5k course. Strollers are permitted on the walk course which is 99% on pavement, but again NO DOGS. You are encouraged to arrive before 7AM to allow time for parking and congestion. FREE PARKING IN THE PARK FOR TURKEY TROT!

5K and 2 Mile Course Descriptions

Starts at 8:00am. 5K Course starts and finishes in front of the Mt. View Shelter. Head south along the road to the toll booth, then take a right, towards the HWY 41 edge of the park. Follow the dirt path, crossing the paved road and  passing the 1 mile mark before the gazebo. Go up the incline hill and turn right just before the road. Follow the path around the pond and then turn left going past the picnic tables and coming to the road. Go left and down the road, crossing onto the dirt path down to Killer Hill. Go 2/3 of the way up Killer Hill and go left and up and down the roller coaster hills to the 2 mile mark. Just past the 2 mile mark, turn right onto the road for .25 mile. Turn right onto the path used for the first mile and take it back to Mt. View Shelter finish line.

There will be a wave start with 3 waves based on run pace starting 1-2 minutes apart.

2 Mile Course: Start after the 5k waves and turn left onto the Woodward Park main road. Follow it for about 3/4 of a mile and make a hairpin right turn onto the Eaton Trail heading south. Follow the Eaton Trail, turning right when it nears Audubon. Continue on the trail turning right at the main entrance and finishing back at the start. Please finish to the right of the finish banner so as not interfere with the runners who need to finish on the mat under the banner to get their official times.
