this was my first ever 5k and i wish it would have been maybe my 5th or 6th. the course when i ran it was quite hilly and the terrain very uneven and varied. i didn't really think about what attributes would a vineyard would have before i signed up. regardless, it was still very fun but very challenging in my newbie state. i would consider trail running shoes or something that can handle rugged terrain. there was a lot of uneven ground, especially when you're of road. best part was after the race you got to sample some of the best wine around. i easily indulged in my share of the party! fun time and i cannot wait to do it again in the future.
