About the event

Here is a unique chance to run a 5 mile or 10 mile course through Newark Delaware that starts and finished on Main Street.

Run down the streets of Main Streets, check out our amazing trails along the course, and finish down the home stretch with people cheering for you back on Main Street.

For participants we have an awesome after party with an incredible spread and plenty of beer for anyone over 21 years old.

But it does not stop there....after our party is done stay Downtown for Newark's Food and Brew and use your incredibly cool 5 and Dime BEER MUG to keep the party going.

6:30am-7:30am   Packet Pick Up and Registration ( Academy Building Lawn Newark DE 19711)

7:30am               Pre Race Meeting

7:45am               10 Miler and 5 Miler Start (everyone starts at the same time)

Post Race Celebration (location TBD is from 9:00-11:00am)

9:00am till 11:00am - Must have participant bracelet for entrance or purchase a bracelet for a $20 donation to to our beneficiaries.

11:00am             Award Ceremony for 10 miler and 5 miler. (Academy Building Lawn Newark DE 19711)

FAQ's

1. I’m registered to run/walk and I’ll be pushing an adaptive athlete/rider course.  Do I have to sign up my rider to get a rider bib?

YES.  Only people with a bib will be permitted on the race course.  Riders will need to register for a Rider Bib at no charge.

2. Are baby joggers, strollers allowed during the event?

If you choose to run with a baby jogger, you must seed yourself in the last corral–behind all other runners and you must register your child  for a Rider Bib, at no charge. 

It is your responsibility to make sure your baby jogger does not impede other runners, and you must take extra precaution to ensure your safety, your child’s safety, and the safety of the runners around you. We reserve the right to pull any participant from the race who is endangering other runners or themselves.

3. Are pets permitted on the course?

For the safety of the participants and spectators, pets are not permitted in any of the Fusion Racing races.

4. Why do I need to register for a Rider Bib and what do I get with my Rider Bib?

For your continued safety, it’s important that race officials are aware of each person on the race course.  In a medical situation, your emergency contact information will be obtained from your rider bib.  Rider bibs give you access to the race course only.  Riders do not receive any race swag, including but not limited to; race shirt, medal, finisher item, finisher food, etc.  A rider is permitted to register, at the current registration rate, as a race participant instead of as a Rider if he/she wishes to enjoy all of the race benefits.

5. Is there a time limit for the course?

YES.  There is a 3 hour time limit on the course.  If you sign up for the 10 Miler and do not reach the 5 Mile mark by 90 minutes you will be directed towards the finish line and your time will count for the 5 Miles race.

Water Stations and Potties

Two very important things about a race WATER and BATHROOMS.

There will be a water station at about every mile marker on the course.  Just water, no BEER.  The beer is at the after party.

Porta Potties are located in the parking lot on Academy Street (near registration and the finish line.

There are also some porta potties on the James Hall Trail.
