GHS Project Graduation 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run

Project Graduation is the combined effort of Granbury High School seniors, their parents, school staff and lots of community support.  We want to offer a meaningful option for an alcohol-free/drug-free celebration after graduation with their friends.  This year’s senior class currently includes about 400 students.  We want a celebration big enough to have every single one of them attend!

Already students and parents are combining and committing to the individual tasks required for raising the funds.  This year we will have a talent show, a golf tournament and the 13th annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run as well as other events.

Hood County YMCA HEALTHY KIDS DAY

Come celebrate Healthy Kids Day at the Hood County YMCA.  Healthy Kids Day encourages the health and well-being of kids. It is a day filled with fun youth activities. Fun for the whole community!

Healthy Kids Day will be held in conjunction with the Fun Run on April 30th, 2016, from 8:30-10:30 am.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:

7:00 AM – REGISTRATION/ PACKET PICK UP

8:00 AM – START 1 MILE

8:30 AM – START 5K RUN/WALK

RACE ENTRY FEE:

Early registration – through March 11

-          $12 students/under 18

-          $20 adults

Regular registration – March 12 – April 29

-          $15 students/under 18

-          $25 adults

Race day registration

-          $15 students/under 18

-          $30 adults

T-SHIRTS GUARANTEED IF REGISTRATION RECEIVED BY APRIL 15TH.

AWARDS:

5K Run: Overall male/female winner, Top three male/female finishers in the following age groups:

10U, 11-14, 15-19, 20-25, 26-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-59, 60+

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is not a timed event.  Ribbons to all  1 mile participants.

5k run is chip timed by Race Day Event Services.  It is not a certified course.
