GlobaLou 5K Run/Walk

Americana's Summer Program serves more than 200 refugee, immigrant, and underserved children (K-12) to prevent summer learning loss, provide opportunity for creative expression, to learn about healthy living and participate in wellness activities, and to fill the experiential gap by exploring passion-possibilities.

Join us on Saturday, June 2nd for the GlobaLou 5K Run/Walk to help support the participants of our summer program. This is the 3rd annual race and sure to be the best yet! We will run 3.1 miles through the treelined hills of Iroquois Park and end at our annual GlobaLou Festival where participants can enjoy food, drinks, vendor booths, and kids activities. 

This is a chip-timed dog and stroller friendly 5K with an 8 a.m. start time for runners and an 8:10 a.m start time for walkers. 

Each race participants will receive a GlobaLou t-shirt and prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women finishers.
