Goa Marathon

We’ re delighted to inform you that El-Shaddai Charitable Trust, and Habitat for Humanity are partnering to host the Goa Marathon 2014 on February 9th for the third consecutive year.The event aims to raise funds to provide:
• Safe and decent homes for families in need
• Sanitation facilities for target communities
• Educational centers for children in Goa and the Konkan region

Last year, over 2000 students, corporate executives and defense personnel participated in the event and tested their mettle on the 5 km and 21 km stretch that started and ended at the Campal Ground. The event that was supported by a media campaign created a buzz across Goa and attracted spectators besides participants. The next edition promises to be better and even bigger with an aim to reach 4000 participants and raise even more funds for the objectives stated above. This year we have introduced a competitive School Run that will attract participation from schools across Goa. Attractive cash prizes will be given to the winners.

The race route will be guided by group of volunteers and experts in the field with road markers. We will also provide with water/energy drink stations after every 1-2 km. We will also have medical ambulance on the route as well as at the venue.
