Grand Canyon Ultra Marathon

This race is of an extreme nature. It will be a serious undertaking to train hard enough to cope with covering 126km (78 miles) in the brief time span of 24 hours. Racing along the North rim trail, the route will touch on some of the higher plateaus, so you will be faced with steep climbs up ancient rock layers formed over 5 million years ago. And of course, after the climb will be some difficult descents where a steady footing will be essential on the loose rock terrain.
