Let’s Celebrate a New Decade of Donut Love!
It’s 2020 Donuteers! We’re ready to kick off a new decade with you at the 5th anniversary of The Great Donut Run! We’ve designed a big new donut medal sprinkled with gold and glam! Join us at Irvine Valley College for THE most delicious 5k event in Orange County!
We’ve got a donut distance for everyone’s taste. The 1 miler at 7:30 am allows even the busiest person to squeeze this race in their schedule. It’s a perfect distance for all ages and abilities and especially for newbies to the race world. You have 30 minutes from start to finish so take your time!
The 5k at 8am winds through the scenic campus with a donut holes zone at the halfway point so you can carb up along the way! Our speedy donut lovers will line up at the front and glaze the way through the flat, stroller friendly course. It’s very walker friendly and there’s no time limit so you can take lot’s of selfies along the way.
If you like a real challenge then sign up for the Donut Double Dare and earn extra donut swag for doing the 1 mile race first and then the 5k race back to back! You’ll get 2 medals and extra donut goodies at the finish. A special booth at the expo will have your 1 miler medal too, so you don’t have to run the 5k race with it.
For those of you with eager little munchkins, we’ve got a Kid’s Donut Dash that starts at 9:15am. They’re shorter distances based on their age and they love to cross the finish line on their own, especially when they see the pile of donuts waiting!
All our races are fun runs with no clock time or chip timing. We have a competitive costume awards for the top 3 individuals and 1 group award so get your Etsy game on donut lovers!
Gluten Free / Vegan Donuts: We added this feature to accommodate all donut lovers! There is an additional $5 fee if you’d like to have a gluten free or Vegan donuts for you. Please be sure to add this option to your cart if you want either option. Donut flavors may vary but they’ll still be delicious!
Virtual Run: The virtual run race is perfect for those who can’t make the race but still want to earn a medal! Participant will choose their own date and location to run the distance on their own through the “honor” system and receive their custom race bib and donut run medal in the mail.
