Access to clean water is a crisis on a worldwide scale Nearly 1,000 children under the age of 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. Furthermore, the average distance many women and children in the developing world walk for water is 6K (3.7mi).
But YOU can make a difference! On Sunday, April 28th at 12:30PM, join your friends and family and walk a “6K” in their shoes.
All proceeds from the walk will go to World Vision International* to help fight the water crisis worldwide.
Walk Entry Fees are: $15 for students (18 and under) and $25 for adults
*World Vision is the largest non-governmental provider of clean water in the world and our water projects run in harmony with our other key areas of development: health, education, food, and economic development. This approach to clean water tackles the root causes of poverty, enabling children to experience the fullness of life.
