Kappa Epsilon’s Chi Chapter will be hosting Hakuna Matata, a 5K Walk/Run on the morning of Saturday, October 21st. All proceeds will be donated to BrightPink – the only non-profit organization that focuses on breast and ovarian cancer awareness. While this event is on the SDSU campus, everyone is welcome to register and partake in the event. All ages are welcome! And if speed isn’t your thing, no worries. Awards will also be given out for “Most Pink,” so be sure to plan your outfit accordingly!
Registration will take place in the Union Market and will be open starting at 8:00am – feel free to check-in anytime between 8 and 9 so long as you have enough time to jump into the race! The race will begin at 9:00am. Snacks will be available for race participants after the event free of charge.
All registered participants will receive a race T-shirt. Those that register on or after Friday 10/13 will not be guaranteed a t-shirt in desired size or logo design. Shirts with “It Starts With State” will be available as an alternative for those who sign up on 10/13 or after. These shirts are limited in sizes and thus desired sizes are not guarenteed.
This event will not be ‘official’ in terms of exact times or precise course length. However, we will do our best to ensure it is at a high standard.
More information will be sent out the week of the race!
